Calacatta marble available from the Builder Depot (in polished 3×6″ & polished 2″ Hexagon) is spectacular in its appearance. This exquisite Calacatta collection comes from the most Northern tip of Tuscany just past the well-known marble region of Carrara. Calacatta has the distinctive trsnasulant white base with streaks of gold and taupe. Available online Calacatta 3×6″ polished is $12.95SF and 2″ Hexagon polished is $21.95 a sheet. The sheets are larger than 1SF making the square foot cost approximately $20.95SF.

Calacatta Gold updates (May 24, 2011). As of today the Calacatta collection is taking backorders. The first products will arrive at the start of July. This will be the Calacatta Gold 3×6” subway tile and Calacatta Gold 2” Hexagon. We already have samples in stock and ready to ship, we recommend any customer seeking unrivaled quality and pricing on premium Calacatta marble place backorders.
This product is quite exclusive and there is not a huge supply, we will do our best to keep this product in stock but please be aware there will be times when certain items will be out of stock. However any customer that places backorders will get that product as it will be ordered and placed directly with the quarry.

Calacatta Gold is one of the most requested products and we thought an update was long past due. The ETA as the title states is the end of May – “oh no” I know that is not great news especially if you are reading this in April. Finding a Calacatta quarry in Itlay is not that difficult but finding an excellent quarry is, we have turned down quite a few suppliers but settled on one which offered the greatest consistancy and continual avaliability.
