Making contact with the shipper

Some of the advice here can help save a day in shipping:

You are probably here as you have questions about the ETA of your shipment and that is completely understandable, after all this is not a book that is being delivered. It is heavy and will require co-ordination.  See more here on what to expect with a freight delivery here.

In shipping terms we are the Consignor (The consignor is the person or business that originates the shipment. Also, known as the shipper) and you are the Consignee (The consignee is the individual or business that receives the freight being shipped.)

You may not know it but as the Consignee you have the power of authority over the shipment and only you (I think this is back from many decades ago, when people would call expensive shipments and say things like “oh by the way, we have changed he delivery address please send the million dollars worth of whisky here of course that was ...

Shipping Overseas?

You have most likely reached this page having asked how to get our products to Australia, Europe or some country other than North America.  It is understandable, we offer products and prices than no one else in the world can match.  In 2013 we had customers from Perth to Sydney and from New Zealand to Denmark and of course the UK.  Buying in US dollars makes our prices attractive but the quality and choices even more so.

This was a really common question 5 years ago but not so common now as consumers have become used to the lower prices that the internet has to offer.  Although this might be true, this is a question worth answering. I will try to be brief, which is not easy considering how many areas of business and economics this question touches on, but by the end of reading this, you will have the understanding of what our company’s goal is.  Companies hate the word “cheap”, well not companies but marketing execs, they like inexpensive or good value – no matter what we call it the question is still the same.  How can we sell a product for 50-60% lower than everyone else and because of that is it inferior?

First lets remove the “cheap” issue with an example.  We sell brick metal 1.5″ x 3″  for $14.95SF; however, boutique retailers sell the same exact product for $50SF.  Metal has a high “price feel” to it- it looks ...

Perfect lot of Bianco Polished 2" Hexagon Mosaic Tile

Bianco Carrara 2" HexagonOccasionally Bianco Polished 2″ Hexagon is whiter than Venato.  Pictured here is Bianco 2″ Hexagon Polished Mosaic Tile

This crate of 2″ Hexagon polished Bianco caught my eye in the warehouse yesterday.  It has an incredible base, really white.  The overall base color is as white as Venato.  The veining is clear.  On a scale of 1 to 10 this is a 10.  An exceptional block was cut to make this tile.  We do have 3×6″ to match.  For this specific lot please mention this blog post dated August 28th.
