Carrara Bianco – As Seen on TV – DIY Network

The Builder Depot Carrara Bianco Herringbone, Carrara 6×12″ Bianco Tile & Carrara Bianco Pencil shown on DIY network I hate my Bath episode ‘Back to the Past’ (Watch our Herringbone part starts at 7.15 mins into the program for those looking to skip)

It was a excellent showcase of our Carrara Bianco collection on the ‘I hate my Bath’ DIY network TV show.  The company that produces the show Magnetic productions ordered from us 190SF of 6×12″ Carrara Bianco Honed, 60SF of 1×2″ Herringbone Honed and 30FT of Carrara Bianco pencil trim honed.

In the show they create a huge show enclosure.  The Carrara Herringbone is a motif on the wall where the shower heads are down to where you can turn the shower on and off.  This Herringbone picture is framed with the pencil trim.  then around the entire wall is the Carrara Bianco 6×12″ tiles.

You get to see many close ups of the product and especially how white the grade ‘C’ Carrara is and how the distinct Carrara veining transforms the shower.

  1. Hello, love the tiles and the video…I would like to order about 8 of this product and have them shopped to Canada, how do I do that, pls. inform /help me….thankyou shirley

    1. Thank you for your interest in our products. At this time we do not ship to Canada. Ensuring supply of premium Carrara to the USA market is proving quite a challenge. Getting Carrara is easy, getting really, really nice Carrara is not and that is where we are struggling – it is a natural product and there is just not enough supply/availability at the level we consider acceptable. Thank you.

  2. can u tell me what is the gap space between this tile and what product do I use to install it to hardi backer board. ( the area being tilesd is behind a bathroom vanity that’s not in the shower area/bath area, but directly next to it with wall and door separating the two areas. also what grout type is preferred with this product
    thank you

    1. Hi Phyllis,

Thank you for your message. We are not installers at all, this is why we do not sell any installation products online. Installation of Carrara marble needs someone qualified from the Marble Institute of America. They know your area. They know whether this is hard or soft water, the PH levels. There are a variety of things that need to be taken into consideration.

A lot of people go for the ceramic installer with no qualifications to save money, this usually results in some problems sometimes others it is fine, but there is a gamble. And even the best can make mistakes, read this post, this shows how even an installer can make an error:

Grout is dependent on the size of the gap, which your installer can go over it with you, for example the Bianco 6×12″ is really well cut, for that I would go with a sanded grout.

These are all discussions for the professionals. That is why like surgery or lawyers all labor has been broken up, from providers, to installers of stone, installers of wood, plumbers, and electricians. But most focus on one field and become experts.

I would try Home Advisor, that is free and you may find some great installers in there.

      Thank you
      The Builder Depot.
