Another Perfect Carrara Venato Shower and never tire of seeing them!

Carrara Venato Shower

Room scenes… I love them and so happy that customers are kind enough to share.

This customers pictures are exceptional (and great photography) of a Carrara Venato shower with 6×12″ Subway Tile $8.00 a Square Foot and the customer used the same tile as a backsplash.  The shower floor is the Carrara Venato 1″ Hexagon Mosaic both with a Honed finish (but all products also available in polished) and pencil trim to edge the top of the backsplash.

The Flooring: I love the way they also used the same 6×12″ but installed it in a Herringbone pattern for the floor. An incredibly consistent product.

The Carrara Venato collection of over sixty matching products, from field tiles, to trims to mosaics. The collection is designed to look whiter and brighter than traditional Carrara Bianco. It does this with having tiles that are completely blank included in the collection along with tiles with some veining. A mix of veined tiles and blank tiles ensures the overall design is whiter and brighter of course having a super white base to the product helps as well.

Perfectly white Carrara Venato bathroom and yes completely jealous of our own customers 🙂

Carrara Venato Bathroom and Shower. Looking Incredible!

Carrara Venato Subway TileAmazing bathroom by Maria and her website page shows off even more pictures of the makeover.

The bathroom and the Carrara Venato has gone together incredibly well. It is (all current prices… subject to change, blah…blah….blah… legal ramble).

The bathroom is from the Carrara Venato Collection where we can match up over sixty products creating almost any look, but the classics like this look fantastic. Subway tile 3×6″ honed $7.00 a Sq.Ft. on shower the floor, feature wall and niches is 1×3″ Herringbone Honed Mosaic $11.45 Sq.Ft. then Pencil trim to picture frame in the Herringbone and then our 4×12″ honed $8.00 a Sq.Ft. in a Herringbone on the bathroom floor. Keeping the trend of Herringbone flowing throughout. I see similar bathrooms designs from other customers. Except they may choose a Hexagon, making the 2″ Hexagon in the shower floor and niche and then a 5″ Hexagon on the bathroom floor. Then again with basketweave, but by far it is Hexagon and Herringbone are the most popular. Irrespective of the choice, we have the ability to open boxes and make the match prior to shipping.

The fixtures look amazing too. The entire bathroom is amazing. The sources are revealed on Maria’s blog.

The guys working at the warehouse did a great job selecting matching lots.

But have you also seen Maria’s Instagram page. I am so impressed. I admire anyone who is a success (they are not a drain on society, they are a asset to society) and this work, the quality of pictures is exceptional, well worth looking at even from that perspective of an incredibly well managed social media account. Everything is managed and branded seamlessly. Love it and love to see others doing well.

Carrara Venato & Bianco 1×3″ Herringbone (and answer to fireplace question).

1x3 Herringbone Fireplace

We are often asked is this marble suitable for the outside of a fireplace? The answer is yes and it is used often we receive a lot of incredible fireplace looks. This one for example is in the Carrara Venato 1×3″ Herringbone Honed $11.45 a Square Foot (but also available in polished).

Bianco Fireplace

This fireplace was a great lot of 1×2″ Herringbone Honed. Currently $11.75 a Square Foot and Free Shipping also available in Polished and 1×3″ Herringbone as used in the previous picture. There are a lot of Herringbone choices on the Herringbone page. Bianco generally not as white as the Venato Collection. This lot was an exception. With natural stone there are occasions when the two collections look very similar.

Bianco Herringbone OptionsHere are a few of the Herringbone options. On the actual Herringbone page there are many more. More info.

The veining is stunning and when planned out prior sticking to the wall creates the perfect picture. A balance of white tiles mixed with veining giving an altogether less busy look.

This remodel is by Brit from blog House Updated. See the Final Reveal and more pictures on Brit’s blog. There you can see before and after pictures along with sources for all these wonderful products that have been used to transform this bathroom.

While the marble is stunning (Carrara Venato has a base whiter than Calacatta, a crisp clean white) what is more stunning is this remodel was completed by Brit in just SIX WEEKS! That is incredible! (On this occasion I think it is okay to be a little jealous and wish I had a shower like that).

Cement Tiles…. Looking good.

Handmade Encaustic Cement Tiles

Warehouse pictures of the product as it arrives on the pallets. Not professionally taken with an iPhone 🙂

There is no doubt about it Cement Tiles while not for everyone are pretty cool looking. When you see one tile it looks okay, but it takes putting four of the 8×8″ tiles together to create the pattern.

Pricing is sneaky. Anything that is new seems to encourage people to gouge customers. Many selling the 8×8″ by the piece for $8-$9. As it takes 2.25 Square Feet to make a square foot with 8×8″ tiles this makes their price $18 to $20 a Square Foot. Our price $11.45 a Square Foot and Free Shipping (we prefer to launch it at the best possible price, not have to go through the year with specials and promotions, just put the best price online from the beginning).

Cement Tile Tulips

It is an incredibly durable product. Here is our Tulips Design outside a retail store and in the interior. Exposed to the Elements. Great for inside the home  as well as commercial applications.

Carrara Venato Subway Tile – Backsplashes

Venato BacksplashBoth rooms have used Carrara Venato 3×6″ Honed Subway Tile $7.00 a Square Foot (to create wonderful rooms).

It is probably the whitest based marble tile in the world. A great look. Especially when broken up with random veining making every backsplash or bathroom installed over nearly the past two decades with this exclusive collection unique.

Carrara Venato Backsplash

You may or may not know that these images are from Instagram. Instagram provides us a great source for room scenes of our products and new products that arrive that we can show our followers or any sales. You can check out our Instagram Page here, we show new products often here as it is easy to take pictures with the iPhone and then upload to Instagram without any fanfare or expensive marketing. It appeals to our low budget no frills marketing strategy which keeps our prices low.

It is quicker than via our website and shows our over 12,000 followers what new products have come in and what they ‘really’ look like. Not some multi-thousand dollar photoshoot. This recent new arrival of Cement Tile below is a great example.

Cement Tiles

Handmade Encaustic Cement Tiles Foire Mountain $11.45/SF

It is an unprofessional picture of Cement Tiles taken on the Crate they arrived in (it is our QC check as well as a picture opportunity). The picture is just taken in our warehouse with an iPhone (not even a spectacular or new one) and then uploaded to our Instagram Page. I love this product. I love the price point even more. Currently $11.45 a Square Foot and Free Shipping (the only Free Shipping at this time of Cement Tile).

Before and After with our Bianco Carrara 4×12″

Bianco Bathroom Before and After

This is just ridiculous. Look at this transformation! What era was this original bathroom from? Well for more answers you have to go to Wendy’s blog and see the designer will do a far better job at explaining this than us. The Bianco Carrara you see used to create the bathroom. This is from our collection here.

Bianco Bathroom

I think we can all agree it is pretty and pretty impressive.

Bianco Bathroom Before

Or…. This is amazingly another before shot. You could still be showering in this. I am not sure I would feel invigorated to start the day in this. I would do it – I could close my eyes and dream.

Bianco Bathroom Tub

4×12″ Bianco Carrara Subway Tiles $8.00 a Square Foot.

Bathroom Favorites on Instagram

One of my favorite pictures of this set is the one that is on Instagram. I love the brass shower fittings how they contrast with the Italian Marble.

This 4×12″ is part of a collection of Bianco Carrara Italian Marble with over eighty (80) matching pieces. It allows people to pick different sizes, along with trims and different mosaics with the knowledge that we pick through lots to get you a match.

Incredible White Oak Silver Cream Bathroom.

Bathroom 12x24 White Oak Silver Cream

White Oak Silver Cream 12×24″ Honed they paid $6.75 a Square Foot.

Ashen Gray White Oak Silver Cream

12×24″ Silver Cream and 2″ Hexagon mosaic for the shower, they also used the 4×12″ bullnose tile, 4×12″ subway tile and the baseboard.

This is where having a 60,000 Square Foot Pick and Pack facility along with millions of square feet of stock backed up in Atlanta comes into play.

We can with this space and number of lots “Match up”. We create the look, go back and look at lot arrival dates on shipping documents. Create a look as if it was almost cut from one block. (Which is may well have been). But we certainly match up to create that look.

This cannot be done on a “Click and Ship” Website. No one at….  “” or “” can  put together. It will just ship. You will get whatever the minimum wage employee pulls off the shelf. He has not been trained in veining. Marble. How there is vein cut, flower cut, shade variation and so on. It will just be taken from the closest box. It has to most are being tracked by a system that tells them to ship so many orders a day. Not take time matching lots.

Bathrooms. Backsplashes. Working with marble and tile that is where we shine. What we have done for over two decades and we are good at it. It cannot be “Big Boxed (come from a mega-store)”. It must be “selected carefully”. Living stone. To create one of a kind bathrooms. Yes…. we are a little eccentric and OCD when it comes to this. Because we really do care.

I think our reviews show that. We are the highest ranked online stone and tile wholesaler, distributor, retailer (call us what you will – I am not sure we fit in any bucket anymore) in the USA.

Looking for a perfect marble bathroom, Carrara, Calacatta, Nero Marquina, Silver Cream, White Oak (also called Ashen Gray) – this marble has a lot of names so companies can justify the higher price points. I do not think a name allows you to charge 3x the price, that is a too high overhead issue their company has and they need your help paying for it. Not a product issue.

To save. Please email us, call or use the chat. We are here to help. Happy to send pictures before it ships. We would always rather not ship an order. Than simply ship an order and a customer be unhappy…. if that makes sense. Communication is the key. We can send pictures, you can order samples. We can work together to save you a lot of money on the product and get you the product you want!! Mind reading we cannot do, not yet…. trying 🙂

Calacatta Hexagon Marble Mosaic and More……

Calacatta Hexagon Mosaic TileCalacatta Hexagon Mosaic Tile available in Polished and Honed currently $16.95 a Square Foot and Free Shipping.

I will always, always be a massive fan of the iPhone warehouse picture. Capturing the moment the crate is opened or an order is put together to be checked, shrink wrapped, banded and so on. That moment is inside our warehouse. No other company offers this. They have pictures but stock photos taken weeks or years ago. The majority of online companies are just Brokers and retailers themselves in many respects are the same thing. You want to buy from the Distributor but have to go through a retailer and pay for their overheads (hardly fair as we approach 2020). The Distributor has the stock, can see the lots. Someone in their has the knowledge of stone. That is who you want.

These pictures are real. They are posted to Instagram. No broker as they do not stock product can do the same. They could be in Toronto and the product might be in San Diego. A broker cannot walk out to his warehouse and take a picture of the products he is selling. In fact he has no idea what is shipping. He cannot guarantee what you ordered is what you will get. You will get what the Distributor ships you. If he is lucky it works out. If not he will deal with the fall out (but they have that covered most do not offer an independent review program, so you cannot complain easily). How can you spot a broker?

  1. Brokers do not have Instagram pages of a warehouse, of uninstalled product. They may have stock pictures or other peoples installations. But not the product prior to install. Most do not have an Instagram page. They are in a cubicle. What are they going to show you from their cubicle? Instagram has made everything almost live…. not good for Brokers.
  2. Brokers do not keep blogs. There is little to blog about. They just want you to order. They want to place an order with the Distributor to ship it to you and for it to all go off without any issues (not likely). Big brokers have guest bloggers about all things DIY, but nothing particularly relevant to the products they sell.
  3. They do not collect reviews. They may have reviews on their website. Reviews they can control. But their will be no “Google Review” program. They cannot have people complaining online. The reviews would destroy their business. They cannot have you doing that. So they censor you.
  4. They are unlikely to be part of the BBB (Better Business Bureau). Again they cannot manage the complaints. Most have more than one website. Called a “Lifeboat” in the event they are found out with bad reviews through the BBB. They can leave one website to another and continue the “Broker Scheme”.
  5. Their location. You can use Google maps. You can even see the street view. If they are saying one thing and you see another that is a red flag. No address. No obvious location…. stay away. They are trying to avoid any contact or litigation.

Apologies for getting off tangent, but it is all important info to know, especially when we hear from people having bad experiences from other companies (Big and small).

I really just wanted to show you these great pictures of the Calacatta 2″ Hexagon, but with so many people complaining about Brokers (and we know who they are)…… I decided to try and educate people with what to look for. We have also added this on to try and really push the point and help people.

Calacatta 2x2 Hexagon Honed

2×2″ Calacatta Hexagon honed. Again currently Free Shipping and $16.95 a Square Foot (you will notice most companies have one column less than us on a sheet. Their sheet is not even a square foot. We are one of the few companies with 42 Hexagon pieces to a sheet. Competition 36 Pieces and usually thinner. We stick to the 3/8″ thick recommended by the Marble Institute of America. There is a cost to us but we are prepared to pay it. We want our customers to have the best.

2x2 Calacatta Matte Honed Hexagon

Again the Calacatta Hexagon. Here is a bit of a close up. This is a beautiful installation and on a budget. Amazing….. marble on a budget. Want more? Then take a look at the Hello Lovely blog here.

One Room Challenge with Calacatta Gold 1×3″ Herringbone Honed

Calacatta HerringboneCalacatta Gold 1×3″ Herringbone Honed $18.95 a Square Foot and Free Shipping for 2017. Also available in Polished finish.

2016 has been and continues to be one of the best Calacatta Gold years ever. In terms of wines (if this was a wine) it would be a “Vintage Year”. The base is perfect and the amount of veining is just right, not busy but enough to see that it is indeed one of the most prestigious marbles in the world. It does after all adorn the walls of the Vatican.

Calacatta HerringboneIIIt has just the right amount of blanks mixed with color and an incredibly white base.

Calacatta Herringbone 4The kitchen is incredible and the time frame in which it was completed for the One Room Challenge was amazing.
