Miss Moneypenny: You know, this sort of behaviour could qualify as sexual harassment.
James Bond: Really. What’s the penalty for that?
Miss Moneypenny: Someday, you’ll have to make good on your innuendo
Okay nothing to do with our stainless steel penny rounds, just when they are ordered they make me think of Miss Moneypenny. It is a great name, I have never met a Moneypenny (by that I mean a person with the last name Moneypenny). I have met a Bond, but never Moneypenny.
Anyway back to the stainless steel penny rounds, they are incredible and at just $15.95 a square foot great value – they look expensive and they used to be very expensive at the end of the 90’s start of 2000. Back then they were made with solid steel, or a really thick cap. This made shipping costly and as the cost of metals increased (along with copper, silver, etc) the price skyrocketed. So a new production method was needed.
The most important thing is that the metal is a stainless steel 304 finish (will not rust). Secondly you just need a thin layer, this product is not walked on, it is used on the wall – so a thin layer overlaid onto a ceramic disk was created. The ceramic base is light and attaches better to the wall. The grout then applied makes sure the ceramic base is covered up. The result is a perfect metal mosaic installation, to go with all those nifty stainless steel appliances.
